Sarah is the daughter of Martin Jelin, the founder of KARNAK, joined the company in 1996, as Vice President and Chief Counsel, after 16 years of practicing corporate and commercial law with the Newark, New Jersey-based law firm of Hellring, Lindeman, Goldstein and Siegal. She received a BA degree from Colorado College in 1975 and a JD degree from the Yeshiva University, Cardozo School of Law in 1980. In addition to the State of New Jersey, Sarah is admitted to practice law in the State of New York, and the federal courts of both states. She was appointed to the positions of Chairperson of the Board of Directors of KARNAK Corp. in October 2010 and President of KARNAK in May of 2012. Thanks to Sarah’s leadership, KARNAK is a WBEN, and WOSB certified business. Sarah is an active participant in and founding member of National Women in Roofing.
Chris joined KARNAK in 1979 and has held various positions including Lab Chemist, Technical Sales Manager and Assistant Vice-President. He was promoted to Vice-President of Sales and Marketing in April, 1996 and assumed his present role of Chief Operating Officer in May 2011. He was educated at Rutgers University and Kean University. He has conducted various presentations on the “Sustainability Strategy for Asphalt Roofing Systems” for ARMA and RCMA and served as President of the Roof Coatings Manufacturers Association from 2005-2007 culminating in his receiving the Martin A. Davis Award in 2011. Chris helped form and chaired the RCMA Sustainability Committee, and was a member of the RCMA Board of Directors. Chris is a member of The Building Industry President’s Council, NRCA, the NBMDA, and the Construction Specifications Institute and has contributed and published numerous articles.
David came to KARNAK in 2011, with over 30 years of diversified financial and operational experience in both domestic and international manufacturing organizations, including chemical manufacturing. He is a graduate of New York University with a BS in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of New York.
John arrived at KARNAK in 1997 and has over 30 years of experience in commercial roofing, building materials distribution sales and manufacturing sales. He has worked for several prominent companies including the D.C Taylor Company, Gulfeagle Supply, The Celotex Corporation and now KARNAK. John graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 1986 and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing.
