Extruded Polystyrene Insulation & Karnak Products

Through laboratory tests, it has been determined that the only Karnak products compatible with extruded polystyrene with or without a film facer are the emulsions, i.e. #100, #220 and #920. All solvent based products in their liquid state, either cause a "melting" effect leaving depressions anywhere from 1/2" to 3/4" in depth or cause the film facer to delaminate. Please, only use emulsion based products when adhering polystrene insulation. All solvent-based products must be allowed to fully dry before placement of polystyrene insulation against them. As always, if you should have any questions, please contact me at any time.

Note: If there are any questions, please contact Karnak's Technical Service Department : 1-800-526-4236, or Fax requests to: 908-388-9422.
